We are Warren Hoot, a Western Screech-Owl (Megascops kennicottii), and Betty Seed-Hoot, a Woodland Sunflower (Helianthus divaricatus). We decided to wed the moment international law recognized marriage between plants and animals.
Our concern for the welfare of flora and fauna worldwide led us to start The Parsnippety. Human beings have long had various media (newspapers, radio, television, and the Internet) to provide them with news and information, breaking and otherwise. For some reason (likely having to do with our harder lives) we plants and animals have been slow in developing media for ourselves.
No longer. It’s time to speak out, time to report on the issues that matter to us; time to express our thoughts and feelings about living in a world dominated by people. For all the news and more—a lot more—read The Parsnippety.
